Qualifications:

* Understanding and effective application of USPAP to practice areas
* Ability to assess basic construction quality, deferred maintenance, and
repair issues

* Understanding of FNMA requirements and FHA VP
* Desire to work a flexible schedule
* Certified Level Appraisal License must be current, and in good standing, with
no recent infractions. No trainees please.

This is an employee position. All computer equipment, software, MLS and other databases, E&O, telephone, are company provided. We also offer paid mileage and expense reimbursement.
Positions will requires non-competitive agreement. This is NOT a 1099 position. Positions requires ability to work from your home office, physical ability to perform field viewings. Employees must also have valid driver's license with insurance and reliable automobile.

Internships
Our unpaid internship opportunities are designed to cultivate your professional demeanor and provide meaningful insight into your competencies and skills while you attend College or University Courses full time. We are conveniently located near the University of Akron, Kent State University, and various trade schools. You will not have to pay for parking or go out of town to gain experience working with professionals.

Part Time- Research Analyst Intern- Akron Office
Part time research analyst intern with geographic or planning interest to complete research and analysis of micro economic, real estate, and land use activity for use in real estate valuation.
Job Summary:
1. Essential Duty (50%) Research
Tasks: Perform research regarding demographics, real estate sales, zoning, taxation, and land use activity. Research will be: computer based, through personal interviews, formal requests through government agencies, and on site research at various local locations.
2. Essential Duty (30%) Written reporting:
Tasks: Summarize findings from research into narrative style reports and form reports.
3. Essential Duty (20%) Clerical:
Tasks: Respond to internal and external customer calls & emails.
Nonessential functions:
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in demographic and land use analysis
- Strong Computer Research skills
- Strong verbal interview skills
- Strong Map reading Skills
- Excellent written communication skills in English language

Marketing / advertising / E-marketing and Advertising
Open to University Students in the US in related majors. Unpaid Part Time.
Under supervision of staff, intern(s) may develop:
- market research.
- market surveys.
- customer satisfaction surveys.
- Writing web material for online marketing/website.
- Develop tracking system for advertising.
- Assemble data for review of Advertising Budget.
- Advanced candidates can assist in analysis of advertising ROI and SWOT analysis.
The majority of research and marketing will be web based, with some phone research/marketing. Advertising students can also aid in development of web and print visuals, web video, and website layout.
Applicants must have strong English grammar skills and write for print and web proficiently.
Onsite Position: The position is part time around class schedule 2-3 days per week during normal business hours. The intern(s) will be working with 2-3 staff members at located in Bath, Ohio 44333. The position is unpaid and should last a minimum of one semester, as the student(s) are available.
Virtual Position: The position is part time around class schedule 2-3 days per week during and tasks are assigned via email/intranet. The intern(s) will be working with 2-3 staff members through email/telephone and secure login to our intranet. The position is unpaid and should last a minimum of one semester, as the student(s) are available. Must have internet access and computer capable of running vpn software.

Database Programming / IT / Web and Database Development
Open to University Student in related majors in the US. Unpaid Part Time.
The intern will be working with our management and outside consultant to develop a database for importation of data from public sources and integrate it into a reconciliation program for use by our staff in the completion of appraisals.
Additional projects include integration of data delivered from outside sources into marketing databases for e marketing and print marketing.

The “Pointer Pupil” Appraisal Experience Program
The Pointer Pupil Appraisal Experience is designed to introduce a person to the appraisal professional and experience firsthand what we do on a daily basis. The person will shadow an appraiser for 2-3 mutually convenient days. The program is generally offered throughout the year and applications are accepted online. Please complete the form at the bottom of the page to apply. Spots are filled on a first come first served basis. Participants will be required to sign non-disclosure and privacy agreements prior to participating in the program.
It is important to note that this program is meant to merely introduce both prospective, current students, and graduates of real estate, appraisal, and related courses to the appraisal profession. The hours will not count toward state licensure experience requirements. This is an unpaid program similar to many student experience programs offered in high schools, trade schools, and undergraduate colleges.
Educators are also invited to participate in this program to gain insight into the appraisal process and the appraiser’s role in real estate transactions.
